Fingerprint

The Fingerprint

Like you, I am a little bit shy

Walking in the opposite direction of most strangers,

You know why,

Holding my true feelings within my soul,

Not wanting to seem cold

Striving to remember proper manners,

You warned me of the strangers tactless patterns

Although, you mentioned, that I,

I should accept others for who they are,

Not what, Not we

Like the fingerprint, Our true upbringing remains,

existing in itself

Prejudice, If not checked

This to, shall, for ever be with us

Eternally, agitating our health.

Beautiful and very introspective…the beginning reminds me of how I am—Introverted and shy, keeping to myself.

Aah, well your comment is super special to me. This poem is truly personal for me, a fight that I am determined to win.
